Musa Motha An Inspirational Dancer From South Africa

Musa Motha, a 27-year-old amputee dancer from South Africa, has defied the odds and become an extraordinary international award-winning performer. Born and raised in Johannesburg, Motha’s journey began when he was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 11. Despite the amputation of his left leg, Motha’s passion for soccer led him to discover his love for dance.

Musa’s audition on Britain’s Got Talent in 2023 made history as he received the first-ever group Golden Buzzer. This is where all the judges hit the buzzer after agreeing that the act deserves to go straight through to the live shows. Watch Musa’s incredible performance below:

Starting as a street dancer in 2010, Motha quickly gained recognition and appeared in music videos, including Drake’s “One Dance.” In 2018, he joined Vuyani Dance Theatre, where he honed his skills in contemporary, afro fusion, tap dance, and ballet. Motha’s talent has taken him on international tours and earned him features in fashion and art magazines, international newspapers, and TV interviews. Motha’s story goes beyond dance. He is a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, DJ, photographer, videographer, dog trainer, car modifier, and investor. Fluent in multiple languages, including Sotho, Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, and English, Motha aims to inspire others with disabilities and break down social stereotypes.
