George Lazenby, the actor known for playing James Bond, is recovering at home after a fall last month. A spokesperson confirmed that he hurt his head in the accident but is healing well. The spokesperson clarified that George, at 84, is lively and doesn’t have any brain injuries.
His representative, Anders Frejdh, shared a photo on Instagram, expressing happiness about Lazenby safely returning home after the fall. Lazenby, despite the challenges of getting older, has shown resilience as a spirited 84-year-old.
The picture shows a smiling Lazenby in bed at his California home, surrounded by drawings, possibly made by children, with one saying “Happy Father’s Day.” Fans and British model Jodie Kidd sent well-wishes and gratitude to Frejdh for taking care of Lazenby.
George Lazenby, who played Bond in the 1969 movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” is the shortest-serving Bond actor, starring in only one film. He received a Golden Globe nomination in 1970 for his role. Apart from Bond, he was in films like “Universal Soldier” (1971) and “Who Saw Her Die” (1972). In 2017, he participated in a Hulu documentary called “Becoming Bond.”
Despite his age, Lazenby is not retiring. His spokesperson confirmed he recently finished shooting scenes for a new action movie, “Mundije,” where he plays a U.S. president. The movie is set to release next year.
