Paul McCartney Pays Tribute to John Lennon on His 83rd Birthday: A Great Friend and Collaborator

Paul McCartney paid tribute to his late friend John Lennon on what would have been Lennon’s 83rd birthday. McCartney, the English singer-songwriter, shared a photo on Instagram of himself on stage with a big screen showing Lennon’s smiling face wearing his round glasses.

McCartney and Lennon were famous for writing many great songs together, like “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”

John Lennon was known for promoting peace but tragically died after being shot outside his New York apartment in 1980 when he was 40 years old. He left behind his wife Yoko Ono and two sons, Julian Lennon (now 60) and Sean Lennon (now 48), as well as many fans who mourned his loss.

In a recent interview, Paul McCartney talked about how hard it was when John Lennon passed away. He said that Lennon was a special and beloved person, and his death was difficult for everyone, including himself.

McCartney also mentioned that he was unable to express his feelings at the time, and it was too painful to talk about Lennon’s death publicly. He remembered watching TV and seeing people talk about Lennon, but he couldn’t find the words to express what John meant to him.

John Lennon and his son Sean shared the same birthday, and Sean posted some old photos from fans on his Instagram Stories on Monday, including a sweet picture of them blowing out candles together when Sean was a little boy.
